Who We Are

At Bethel, We know that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. Our goal is to help make your experience with us a good one! We want to give you every opportunity to make a connection with Jesus and with His people in a warm and inviting atmosphere.  We practice  a blended worship style that includes contemporary songs and the singing of traditional hymns  as we worship Jesus. We love our kids and they are an important part of our morning worship service as we make every effort to include them in many ways… from serving as acolytes, participating in interactive children’s messages and singing special songs that are just for them.

Our church wants to provide you and your family with a loving community so that you can grow in Christ through all the seasons of life.

We look forward to getting to know you and would love to connect with you in the days ahead. Let’s start a conversation about how we can best help.

Leadership
Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God as found within  66 books from Genesis to Revelation.  We believe that the Bible teaches all that is necessary for faith, life and salvation. The scriptures are foundational to our faith, shaping our priorities for worship, education, fellowship and mission.  As the Old Testament points us to Jesus,  the New Testament tells us about Jesus' life, ministry and victory over Satan and death! The Bible is the greatest love story ever written!

God

We believe in one God, who is eternal, self-existent, infinite, and immutable. We believe He has one nature, one essence, and one substance, yet manifests Himself to man in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; I Timothy 1:17; James 1:17; I John 4:4)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life.  No one comes unto the Father but through Him. We believe that Jesus is the one and only way to truly know God and to be forgiven from our sins and reconciled to Him. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin born, that Jesus is 100% God (divine) and at the same time 100% human. He did not sin, but died on the cross to free you and me from our slavery to sin and death. We believe that Christ's resurrection proves that we have been forgiven and the consequence of sin - death - has been overcome. One day, Jesus Christ will return to the earth personally, visibly and bodily - to judge the living and the dead - and to bring those who belong to Him, home!

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, draws us to the Savior, indwells our hearts, enables holiness and gives us gifts for service to the Kingdom of God. We are able to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior only through the work of the Holy Spirit. He comes to us as He came to the gathered disciples at Pentecost: to kindle our faith, to embolden our witness, and to accompany us in mission.

Salvation

We believe all men were born with an inherited sin nature received from our common ancestor, Adam. We believe that because of his nature, mankind  is totally incapable of reforming himself or ceasing from his sin by his own power. We believe the only hope of deliverance for man is a total change of mind concerning his sin,  repentance, and a turning to Jesus Christ as the only Savior. We believe that only through the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ on the Cross can a man be delivered from his sin. We believe that all those who reject Jesus Christ as their Savior are hopeless and lost.

The Church

We believe that life is lived best in the context of a Church family that loves Jesus... that the original mission of the church AND the current mission of the church is to make disciples. We believe the local church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ, and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, fellowship, service, and the Lord’s Table. We believe we are called to be the Body of Christ, to create healthy relationships of accountability and care.
